Spain are gold medalists in men's soccer for just the second time ever
Spain have been crowned the men's Olympic soccer champions for the first time since 1992 after beating hosts France 5-3 at Parc des Princes in Paris.
The match was a thrilling contest, with both teams trading blows throughout. Spain took the lead in the first half through Mikel Oyarzabal, but France equalized just before halftime through Andre-Pierre Gignac.
The second half was even more exciting, with both teams scoring two more goals each. Spain eventually won the match 5-3, with Marco Asensio scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute.
This is Spain's second Olympic gold medal in men's soccer, their first since 1992. It is also their first major trophy since winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
