A Prodigy on the Course
Thompson began her golf journey at an exceptionally young age. In 2007, at the age of 12, she became the youngest golfer ever to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open. Her performance in the tournament was equally impressive, finishing in a tie for 42nd place.
As she continued to compete in professional tournaments, Thompson quickly established herself as a rising star. She won her first LPGA Tour event in 2011 at the age of 16, becoming the youngest player to win an LPGA event. Over the course of her career, Thompson has accumulated 11 LPGA Tour victories.
