Miami Marlins Place Jazz Chisholm Jr on Injured List

Shortstop Sidelined with Hamstring Injury

Chisholm has been placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 14, 2023, due to a hamstring injury.

The Miami Marlins have placed shortstop Jazz Chisholm Jr on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 14, 2023. Chisholm has been dealing with a hamstring injury and has not played since May 13.

Chisholm is batting .273 with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs in 48 games this season. He is one of the most promising young players in baseball and was a key part of the Marlins' playoff run in 2022.

The Marlins will hope to have Chisholm back in the lineup soon, but they will need to find a way to replace his production in the meantime. Jon Berti is expected to take over at shortstop in Chisholm's absence.

The Marlins are currently 24-24 and in third place in the NL East. They will face the New York Mets in a three-game series this weekend.
